Sometimes we are unsure of where to go or what to do.

Sometimes our path gets foggy or even hidden.

When that happens, once again, the answer is patience. Wait.

Often, when we allow silence and time to pass, the answer and even the path becomes more clear.

It’s difficult to wait. However, the waiting provides us with a clearer direction.

So, my friends, we will wait for the clarity. It’ll be worth it.

Serenity…calm and peacefulness. Everyone wants it. Everyone searches for it.

Where is it?

It is in a walk with a friend. A quiet morning drinking coffee on a deck. It is sitting on a beach watching the waves. It is watching your children play. Serenity is anywhere and everywhere. Mostly because it is inside of you.

I had a wonderful taste of serenity on a Monday off from work. A friend and I spent time having lunch, watching the water, walking, relaxing, and laughing. Along the walk I found this beautiful setting – a bench, tree, and stream. I thought….serenity.

So find what makes you calm and peaceful. Find your serenity. Even if it’s only an occasional find. Enjoy the moments. I know I sure do.

I love signs of spring. Life growing and renewing. It gives me hope that although the leaves fall and the trees grow dormant that inside, life continues to survive and even grow. Quietly. It perseveres. As do we. We will persevere and we will remember this year and grow from it. Our lights will shine and our love will blossom. Go and find those signs of renewed life. Fill your heart with hope. Allow your soul to soar with renewed energy.

Oh, how am I grateful.

To relax. To laugh. To talk. To share. To weep. To be. To love.

To cut loose. To be honest and true. To be vulnerable.

What nourishment it is.

What beauty.

What a gift.

I am renewed with energy.

I can go on.

Relationships are hard.

There’s a lot of compromise.

It takes stamina. It takes tenacity.

Most of all, it takes two.

Willing to be imperfect.

But loving each other anyway.

Never giving up.

We are each a mosaic of beautiful uniquely created pieces.

Created by experiences and memories.

Shaped by life.

We are beautiful.

These two daisies are surrounded by dead ones.

These two have decided the party isn’t over.

My friend and I, both in our 50s, have also decided the party isn’t over.

Watch out world, we are still dancing, playing, loving, hiking, fun women.

Yours doesn’t have to be either.

It’s been a challenging week for many reasons, work especially. This week, more than once, I felt anger and frustration. I wondered if I picked the right career. Being a speech language pathologist in the school setting isn’t for sissies. That’s for sure!

Then, out of the blue, I get this wonderful email from a parent. It was so unexpected and it was positive and up lifting. This simple act of kindness and gratitude became the bright spot of my week.

So, if you are grateful to someone, don’t wait to tell them. Your simple kind words of gratitude will be a bright spot! So what are you waiting for?

I feel all the feels. I wake up and I know it’s one of those days. I’m sad.

I’m thinking and feeling things deeply. I don’t want to do anything other than to do a whole lot of nothing.

So that’s what I do. I feel and do a whole lot of nothing the entire day.

The day after, I always feel so much brighter and lighter all because I allowed myself to feel. Once I feel, I can then let it go.

I hope you take days to feel. Feeling can lead to healing.
